Katie Findlay was born and raised in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She always loved drawing and animation. After taking two years towards a computer science degree she realized she wouldn't be happy stuck in a cubicle for the rest of her life and began investigating what it would take to become an animator. She applied to the Vancouver Film School in 2005 and was accepted into their Foundation Visual Art and Design program. During that year she got a taste of animation and decided to continue her education in the Classical Animation program at VFS. Her work experience includes production coordinating, storyboard rivising and animating. She's also designed characters for computer games and created posters and short animations for independent films. She's married to a comic book geek and is mother to an abundantly drooly baby boy.
